Last weekend, together with other 8,200 runners and 60 businesses, Savills Vietnam took part in the HCMC International Marathon 2018 with a team of more than 30 members from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to support Newborns Vietnam.
Newborns and Savills have been long-term partnership in a series of meaningful activities. Newborns Vietnam – a Great Britain’s operating to reduce infant mortality by providing neonatal nurse and doctor training across Vietnam, especially the annual IRON Man 70.3 triathlon.
Savills Vietnam's runners took the challenge of 10km and 21km following a route of historical key landmarks, before finishing with vantage points to view the spectacular city skyline.
It was an amazing opportunity for Savillians to run along the dynamic streets of this inspiring city and participate in one of the most iconic races in Southeast Asia. Every finisher comes home with incredible memories.
For most of Savillians participated on the day, it was the first time they joined a marathon but they all made great efforts to cross the finish line with unbounded energy and enthusiasm for a good cause and a healthier lifestyle.
Not just an marathon event to promote healthy lifestyle, the Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon was also a chance provide supports to less fortunate people as all of the money raised in the event will be transferred to other charities, including Newborns Vietnam. Savills Vietnam already has a number of fundraising activities in the pipeline and we look forward to participating in such events over the coming year.
