Savills Viet Nam had a lively start to the year at its event, “Property Outlook 2022: A Fresh Approach.” As lockdown restrictions have been lifted throughout the country, Savills HCMC hosted the event on the 15th of February and Savills Ha Noi followed shortly behind with an event on the 17th of February. After a year without in-person gathering, these events were a welcome opportunity to kick-start the year with a new Property paradigm.
The events, which took place at the Grand Ballroom at InterContinental Saigon (HCMC) and Pan Pacific (Ha Noi), hosted hundreds of guests, eager to hear the latest market insights and network with leading industry professionals. Neil MacGregor, Managing Director at Savills Viet Nam, opened both events. He said, “It is a huge testament to the Vietnamese authorities that we could hold such a large event after the year we had in 2021. The Vietnamese economy continues to go from strength to strength, despite the pandemic. FDI investment remains strong, with Real Estate and Manufacturing being key beneficiaries. We look forward to what the Year of the Tiger holds!”
The main feature was a presentation by Troy Griffiths, Deputy Managing Director at Savills Viet Nam. The presentation featured the latest market updates, data-backed insights and layered, interactive reports created with Power BI. We caught up with him after the event and he said, “The recent past has accelerated global change. Savills is now exploring a new paradigm in Vietnamese Property that emphasises the future winners and losers in the field. Not only are we ready to start 2022 with a fresh approach, but it is also refreshing to be back at physical events.”
Commenting on the importance of events like these, Ms Vo Thi Khanh Trang, Associate Director of Research at Savills HCMC, said, “Our Research team works incredibly hard and we hope that the attendees found the rich data and insights informative. We are happy that Savills can host professional, market-leading events again, giving industry professionals the chance to network after a year away!”
